From Ocean Plastic to Swimwear: Our Fabrics
Sustainability is part of our brand, and we aim to incorporate this throughout the company. We produce only a small stock to make sure we do not over produce and end up with unsold items. With this focus on eco-friendly fashion, we aim to contribute to a greener fashion industry.
Our fabrics are sustainable techno-fabrics made of Econyl regenerated nylon that turns waste problems into solutions. The innovative construction of our fabric makes it twice as resistant to chlorine and sunblock creams or oils than other fabrics. Our fabrics also have UV-protection, so it helps protecting your skin on those sunny days. Our swimwear is designed to fit perfectly, and working with these fabrics have allowed us to create a collection that is comfortable, form fitting and made to last.
The process of recycling these fabrics starts with recovering waste from the oceans such as ghost fishing nets and plastic. It is then cleaned and sorted so it can be recycled. The regenerated nylon resulting from this process is then woven into yarns- ready to be used into new products!
We are so proud to use these fabrics and grateful that it is possible to turn waste into a solution. Besides recovering ghost fishing nets and plastic from the ocean, using recycled fabric also means reducing global warming impacts of nylon production. It allows us to create new products without using new services.
